Tring Together has confirmed Saturday 28 November 2026, 3.30pm to 8.30pm, with over 100 stalls and real reindeer. Stall applications are open now.

Tring’s biggest night of the year has a date. Tring Together has confirmed the Christmas Festival for Saturday 28 November 2026, 3.30pm to 8.30pm, across Tring High Street, Victoria Hall and the Memorial Garden (tringtogether.org.uk).

Entry is free. The charity calls it “Tring’s largest Free event of the year”, and last year’s write-up put the crowd at more than 8,000 people on a single evening.

What is confirmed for 2026

From Tring Together’s own page, the 2026 festival will have:

  • Live entertainment across three stages.
  • Over 100 market stalls, on the High Street and indoors in Victoria Hall.
  • Late-night High Street shops and open churches.
  • A funfair.
  • Father Christmas and his real reindeer.

One change is worth flagging. The 2026 wording says three stages. In 2025 there were four separate stages and event areas: a main stage, the Zebra Radley stage on Church Square, the Akeman Stage, and a stage at St Peter and St Paul church, with Morris dancing and choirs in Dolphin Square on top. Whether that is a real reduction or just looser wording is not yet clear.

Where each part goes

The layout has been consistent for years and is worth knowing before you arrive with children.

  • Memorial Garden: Santa’s Grotto and the reindeer, lit up, with the lights coming on at dusk. It has gates and is stewarded.
  • Victoria Hall: the Christmas gift and craft stalls, indoors and dry.
  • High Street: local stalls, charity stalls, and the food and drink.
  • Top of the High Street: the funfair.
  • Church Square, Dolphin Square and St Peter and St Paul: the music and dance.

Last year’s line-up gives a sense of the scale: Tring dance groups, Tring Music Partnership’s Phoenix Big Band, Tring School’s The Jokerz, Zebra Jazz Collective, school and local choirs, Whitchurch and New Moon Morris, Tring Tones and the newly formed Tring Community Orchestra.

If you want a stall

Applications are open now. The form is on the festival page and lets you pick your preferred location, either the High Street or an indoor spot in Victoria Hall. Indoor spaces have historically been limited, and the festival has been running long enough that they go. Tring Together can be reached on 01442 828920 or at info@tringtogether.org.uk.

The road closure is not published yet

Tring High Street closes for this. Last year Tring Together thanked the volunteers who “man the road closures, Memorial Garden gates and Victoria Hall”, so the closure is real and stewarded rather than a token restriction.

No closure has been advertised for 28 November 2026. Tring Town Council’s own road closures page currently lists only utility works: Thames Water leak repairs on the High Street under multi-way signals, and the Icknield Way closure from the Aylesbury Road roundabout to Lidl, both of which run to early September (tring.gov.uk).

Expect the festival order in early to mid November. We will add it here and to Hemel Hempstead roadworks and travel.

There is a second thing the council’s website will not tell you. Tring Town Council’s events calendar does not list the Christmas Festival at all. Its November 2026 entries are Nature Tots, the Farmers’ Market on the 14th, a speaker evening on the 18th and the DENS Sleepout on the 20th. The town’s biggest event is absent because the organiser is Tring Together, a separate charity, so the charity’s page is the one to check.

Parking

Dacorum’s Tring car parks charge 8am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday, so a festival that starts at 3.30pm sits half inside the charged period and half outside it. Tariffs are on our parking page.

The station is the other option, with the caveat that Tring station is not in Tring: it sits out along Station Road, so it is a walk or a bus from the High Street rather than a step off the platform. Entry to the station car park after 10am drops the day rate to £8, the same as the weekend and bank holiday rate, which is the cheaper way in if you are driving to the station.

Who pays for it

The festival is funded by Tring Town Council, Dacorum Borough Council, Hertfordshire County Council and Tesco Groundworks, with Cardo providing the free gifts in Santa’s Grotto last year. Tring Together is a local charity based at Faversham Close, Tring HP23 5BA, and it also runs the Spring Fayre and the Summer Carnival.

Still to come

  • The stage line-ups and the times of each act.
  • The road closure, its extent and its hours.
  • Whether the fourth stage returns.
  • The grotto booking arrangements, if any.

The district’s other festive dates: Berkhamsted’s Festival of Light on Sunday 22 November, and Hemel Hempstead’s Christmas lights switch-on, which still has no 2026 date. Before all of them, bonfire night puts the Tring Festival of Fire at the cricket club on Saturday 7 November.
